Luck was truly with an Essex village last week as residents living in a Boreham postcode won prizes adding up to £2 million in the Postcode Millions game on the People’s Postcode Lottery. A total of 24 players scooped prizes ranging from £7,295 to £666,666.
The biggest Postcode Lottery win came for Tracie Barry, 43, as she matched the full winning Postcode Lottery results - CM3 3GY to win an impressive £666,666. Tracie, who had two tickets for Saturday’s draw, was left stunned when she saw it was her full postcode that had won. Her neighbour, David Carter also had a ticket for Saturday’s draw and again matched the full postcode to win £333,333.
22 other Postcode Lottery players shared the remaining £1 million prize pot by matching the first part of the winning postcode CM3 3. Among the winners was Paul Luxor who won £116,720 and, along with his wife, plans to use some of his winnings on a trip to Venice to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary. Nicola Orchard was another winner who won not only £43,770 but who was also picked at random to win a brand new BMW 1 Series.
All winners picked up their Postcode Lottery prizes earlier this week at a presentation held by officials at Crix on London Road in Chelmsford. This is the second time this year that the Postcode Millions has been won by a UK postcode, as this draw picks one postcode at random from players in the UK, Sweden and the Netherlands. The first was back in February when a postcode in Hull shared another £2 million prize pot.
Since the Postcode Lottery first launched it has raised more than £30.3 million for charities and good causes across the country. This lottery gives players the chance to win prizes every week by entering their postcode into daily, weekly and monthly draws.
