The Health Lottery launched on October 8th 2011 and the first ever draw took place simultaneously on ITV1 and Channel 5 during the Saturday night commercials.

Health Lottery Game
The basic lottery game for the Health Lottery is similar to Euromillions where 5 balls are drawn with numbers between 1 and 50. The Player chooses 5 numbers on their ticket and if 3 or more of those numbers match the winning numbers drawn then the player wins a prize.
Health Lottery Prizes
Prizes for matching the Health Lottery Winning Numbers are very simple, the prize table is as follows:
Match 3 numbers – £50
Match 4 numbers – £500
Match 5 numbers – £100,000
Magic Monday

For certain draws, each Health Lottery ticket also counts as a discount voucher for the Monday following the Health Lottery draw and can only be used on this exact day. Magic Monday Bonuses vary for each draw and are always displayed on the Results page. One of the unique features of the Magic Monday bonus is that it is always worth more than the price of the Health Lottery ticket so providing you make use of your Magic Monday bonus then your lottery ticket is essentially free.
Second Chance Guaranteed Winner
In the event that no player matches all 5 numbers to win the £100,000 jackpot then a ticket will be chosen at random win the £100,000 Jackpot so that there is always a winner for every draw. If a Guaranteed Second Chance Winner is chosen then the ticket reference number will be shown on the Health Lottery Results page along with a message stating that no players matched all 5 numbers.
Health Lottery Odds
The overall odds of winning a prize in the Health Lottery are 213.8 to 1 which means that statistically you are only likely to see a single £50 win every 4 years if you buy one ticket a week. Where the Health Lottery odds are much better is the odds of winning a Health Lottery Jackpot at 2 million to 1 (2,118,760:1), this is significantly better odds than winning the National Lottery Lotto Jackpot (14 million to 1) or the Euromillions Jackpot (116 million to 1)

Claiming Health Lottery Prizes
For prizes of £50 you can collect your prize from any of the participating retailers. Wins greater than £50 must be claimed by calling the Health Lottery winners hotline on 0844 375 55 55. As well as processing your claim and arranging the transfer of funds there are also advisers on the line to talk you through publicity, privacy, security and any other matters relating to your win.

Confusion seems to be the name of the game. To clarify – there is NO Magic Monday Draw. The term Magic Monday refers to the special offer which can be redeemed using your Health Lottery Ticket. The offers are only usable on the monday immediately following the draw you participated in hence the term Magic Monday. Each week the Magic Monday offer changes, you can find details of what the current week’s offer is by visiting http://www.lottery.co.uk/results/health-lottery-results.asp and the clicking on the latest draw. There was no magic monday bonus piror to the 5th November.
how long do you have to keep receipt for to have second chance and can you check in a shop
In theory you can check if you’re a second chance winner through your retailer but in practice this means queueing to not only see if you have a miniscule chance of being a winner but also having to queue just to see if there is a second chance winner at all. It makes more sense to check the Health Lottery Results online either at the Official website or using our Results articles. Each results page tells you if there has been a winner and if not then the second chance winner reference will be clearly displayed on the page. Timing is a more difficult question to answer. The simple answer is that if there is a second chance winner then it will be announced at the time the prize breakdown is made public – usually within an hour of the draw and avilable on that draw’s results page. There is a possible scenario where the winning ticket holder does not come forward, in this instance we are “assuming” that the prize money will be retained by the Health Lottery operators or allocated to it’s charitable causes. It is not likely that if no second chance winner came forward that another ticket reference would be announced as this would be many weeks after the draw took place.
Short answer, keep your ticket for 48 hours, until the end of the Monday after the draw takes place and make sure you check the results page one last time before throwing it away. Remember you can still use your ticket on the Monday to claim a Magic Monday discount.
please provide tools in your website to enable us to check our ticket for our self. In the end of the day it is like lotto. It would be grate if 2 number were winners too. That would v made it different to lotto.

what happens if a shop says a ticket has been claimed but you have the winnig ticket

I play online, and dont always check my numbers, If I win anything am I notified by email or should I still check myself, I was told that you people will notifiy me of any winnings , but on the site it says to check, .
