UK Lottery News launched in July 2011 to bring the latest lottery news, results, information and other juicy gossip from the many Lotteries available to play in the UK. Our writers are all certifiable Lottery Fanatics and we have over 45 years of lottery experience between us. Some of the lotteries that we aim to cover are the National Lottery inlcuding the main Lotto Draw, Thunderball and Lotto Plus 5. We will also be covering the increasingly popular Euromillions along with the Irish Lottery which is also seeing an increase popularity due to it’s impressive jackpots and the relatively good odds of winning a life changing sum of money.
So, who are we?
Well I’m Conner Ryan (The brains of the bunch!). I first started playing lotteries when back in my hometown of Cork in southern Ireland. Back then the Irish Lottery bought a spark of excitement each week and I remember watching the televised draws on RTE1 with baited breath hoping that my numbers would come up. Since then I’ve relocated to the sunnier climates of Eastern England and I now work and live in the Peterborough area helping companies with inhouse HR and Personnel management. Each week I give myself a budget of £10 to play the various lotteries and despite not yet winning any major jackpots I’ve managed to scoop a few smaller wins that have left me in overall profit. Recently I’ve ventured into betting on the Irish Lottery but I have to admit this has proven much more difficult than it first appeared so I’ve gone back to just playing the basic lottery games for now.
Elaine Connoly is my partner in life, business and love, a mixture that has seen us stay together despite numerous setbacks in both of our family lives. Elaine also shares my passion for playing the Lottery and has seen 2 of her childhood friends win huge amounts of money playing the lottery. Like me Elaine also gives herself a weekly budget for playing the lottery but when Euromillions starts to roll into 9 digit numbers she has ben know to “forget” her budgets and buy more tickets in the hope of winning some real life changing money. However, unlike many people, Elaine has a very clear plan of what she wants to do with the money and where and how it would be spent. Her plans are quite extensive and will no doubt creep into her articles over the coming weeks, months and years.
Natasha Karpenko started working with Elaine and I on a voluntary project in early 2010 and it quickly became apparent that she also shared a passion for playing the lottery. In her home country of Ukraine there was little in the way of access to large scale gambling such as the lotteries so when she came to the UK in the late 1990s she became a little obsessed with the prospect of winning the huge UK lottery jackpots and what it would mean to her family and friends back home. Although Natasha doesn’t tend to budget herself when playing the lottery she seems to have a 6th sense for picking good numbers and frequently makes profit on her lottery habit despite never having won a major lottery prize.
As far as I am concerned your site is nothing short of brilliant. At first I thought that your content must be farmed by bots but then I opened my eyes, read what you posted and realised that you have the lottery results available on here even before the official websites – how on earth do you manage it??
I’ve just read Michael Cargill’s blog, he must of lost his medication when he wrote most of it lol! Very funny though, I might just have to buy his book if I win on Saturdays lottery
I think I owe you guys an apology by the way. Having now looked at your site a bit more closely it seems you actually are legitimate so sorry for my previous comments about you.
Keep up the good work.
