Starting from Saturday 11th May 2013 the Health Lottery are introducing a new Bonus Ball which will see the current three prize tiers expanded to six and the overall odds of winning a prize reduced from 1 in 209 to 1 in 108.

Overall Odds of winning a prize:1 in 108 (Lottery Odds calculated at www.lottonumbers.net)
There is no additional charge for taking part in the Bonus Ball draws so ticket prices remain at £1 for either of the two weekly draws. Players do not need to select a Bonus Ball when choosing their numbers as this number is drawn from the remaining 45 numbers when the draw takes place. If any of your 5 chosen numbers match the Bonus Ball and you match 2 or more main numbers then you have won a prize (as per the table above).
Because there is no need for the player to choose a Bonus Ball then Health Lottery tickets remain the same, a typical sample is shown to the right although tickets from different retailers may differ slightly.
One of the most commonly commented on features of the Health Lottery ticket is the display of the player’s numbers. Unfortunately the tickets do not explain which numbers refer to what and this often causes confusion with players. To try and avoid this confusion we have pointed out the 2 most important pieces of information on the ticket; the Numbers you have entered and the date of the draw that you are entered into.
The date format for the “Draws entered” is in D/M/Y format so players used to European or US date formats need to be aware. In the example to the right 11/5/2013 refers to the 11th May 2013 rather than the 5th November 2013.

The current Jackpot for Tuesday 5th March 2013 stands at £34,000,000 (€39m) after rolling over from Friday’s draw. The results of that draw were as follows:
The winners of the £6.3million UK Lotto Jackpot from Saturday 23rd February 2013 have come forward to claim their winnings. Robin & Christine Kiddie, from Ludlow in Shropshire won this massive jackpot by choosing their winning numbers from birthdays and old numbers they used to play on the pools. Originally from Lancashire the couple have no plans to return to their roots but have both decided to take early retirement from their jobs.
Both Robin and Christine are 60 years old, Robin currently working as an export sales manager and Christine working as a bank nurse. The couple have 4 grown-up children and 4 grandchildren who will all be getting a share of their jackpot winnings.
The Winning Lotto Numbers from Saturday 23rd were: 2, 25, 30, 31, 32 and 16 – a particularly unusual set of numbers due to the consecutive triplet “30, 31, 32″. We have also seen a similar set of consecutive numbers in this Wednesday’s Irish Lottery – what we believe to be the first ever consecutive quadruplet for the Irish Lotto draw of “18,19,20 and 21″.
